Wheat Thins

There was not a "compliments" tab, so I decided to that perhaps describing my comment as an "issue" would work best.

I recently purchased a snack sized bag of Wheat Thins (Brand Seal # 192320007980) and was overly pleased/surprised by the amount of wheat thin squares (around 20!) that it contained. I find most of the time I consume such a snack pack, there are very few and alot of air.

So thank you for making this snack pack consumption all the more enjoyable!

Forever a fan of Kraft.

Elevator Company

Dear Elevator Company,

I live in New York City and as I am sure you have already heard, there have been several tragedies that have taken place in elevators over the course of the past few months. I have a few questions as well as suggestions that I would love your feedback on.

1. Do some elevators come with special compartments for fire extinguishers and survival packs (food, ladders, flashlights rope etc.)?
2. What if the elevator didn't go up and down but rather zig zagged through a building? That way it would be impossible for a malfunctioning elevator to drop straight down. Right?
3. In your opinion, what is the best way to get out of an elevator if it malfunctions? In the movies there always seems to be a special vaulted ceiling that one can crawl up and out of.
4. What are your feelings on doors with motion detectors?
5. Are there elevator conventions? If so, are they held on the bottom floor or the top floor of a building?
6. Do you feel that a box shape is the best shape for an elevator? If you think of elevator consumers as "eggs" wouldn't the traditional box structure be the least effective survival rate wise?

I'm sure you are busy during this holiday season, but I would love if your could address my questions and suggestions

Best,

Joam

Joam Occupies Craigslist.

Dear Readers,

I came across this little "gem" of a craigslist post today.

Full Time Nanny needed (Rosedale, ny)
Date: 2011-11-02, 6:22PM EDT
Reply to: gigs-xxxxxxxxxxxx
We need a nanny to care for our 7 month and 2 year old children. Must be mature , trustworthy and possible weekends. Bilingual a plus but english a must.
250 per week . Call XXX-XX-XXXX

Of course I had to contact them. Here is my response to this ad.

------------------------------

Dear Family in Search for a Nanny,

250 dollars divided by 5 days is 50 dollars a day divided by 8 hours = $6 hourly for professional childcare. I am guessing that your children are the most important thing to you and somebody applying to watch them for 6 dollars an hour will either be 1. a child 2. somebody on a "list" 3. not all that educated.

I know times are tough, but invest in the safety and well being of your children. 250 dollars a week will not employ a Mary Poppins. My fiance made that in 6th grade watching her class' guinea pig.

Respectfully,

Joam J.

BKLYN COURIER NEWSPAPER

Dear Editor,

A few weeks ago, I was sipping on my ice latte and strolling down Smith Street with my dog, when I saw the Brooklyn Courier. I picked up a copy and was astonished to find that a woman on the front page, was a facebook, twitter AND google + friend of mine. She was identified as a resident of Brooklyn, when I know for a fact that she resides in mid-town Manhattan and was in our borough to celebrate a certain French holiday. Guess where she went AFTER she had her fun and games in Brooklyn? Manhattan!

Brooklyn is not JUST a borough of New York City, but it is also an identity, a way of life, a lifestyle choice and an ethnicity. I wouldn't identify myself as an African American or a Asian American if I was not from America and I expect the same for those who reside here. I know this comes off as a bit elitist, but for some time now I have been a champion of Brooklyn authenticity. This is at times tedious work, but as this boro is the greatest borough in the universe, my time simply pales in comparison.

I would very much appreciate a blurb in next week that corrects this reporter/photographer's error.

Salutations,

Joam J.

Sunscreen Shade Company

Hi,

I am searching for a quality sunscreen and a friend of mine recommended your company. I am looking for a screen that will not only keep me a bit shady and bug free but also will serve as a fire screen. Last year while sitting outside in our backyard, my 85 year old grandmother went up in flames...literally. Apparently the fireline we cleared around the house was inadequate. Such a screen will provide with us both peace of mind of the end of freak family tragedies. I have taken measurements and i need the screen to be 45 feet long by 65 feet tall. Is this a possibility?

Public Radio--California

Dear Public Radio Affiliate,

I am tired of waking up and hearing "pledge now, pledge this, pledge or we won't exist". How about eliminating the pledge drive altogether? I realize that as a "public" station, that you rely on the public's generous donations, so therefore I offer an idea.

How about a "Tap-a-Thon"? I was the MC (master of ceremonies) of such an event 10 years ago when I lived in Louisiana (pre-K). You get cute "pageant type" children to go door to door asking for station donations in exchange for a tap dance. The kids don't have to have prior tap experience and of course a radio personality would accompany them to ensure their safety and sign the occasional autograph (for an extra dollar or 2 :) ). This would;

1. get people involved (community outreach)
2. get people to donate without ruining their mornings
3. get kids active
4. raise possibly millions of dollars
5. allow an elderly person to have a visitor
6. brighten somebody's day
7. empower the "little people"
8. save airwave time for more important things.
9. People are more likely to donate to children
10. some people don't own phones or computers...but do live houses.
11. get the homeless involved. tap dancing and sidewalks go together
12. spark creativity!
13. be a leader in the field of public radio pledge drives

Please let me know, if you would like me to come and speak to your staff further about this!

Best,

Joam J.

SHERMAN WILLIAMS

Dear Mr. Williams,

I am utterly disgusted with your choice of logo. In case you are unaware, let me remind you that it depicts a tipped over paint can dumping what can only be described as ox blood red over our world and the words "cover the earth" below. I find this logo disturbing on a variety of levels. Who is responsible for this? I painted my entire house in your "harmony" line as i was lead to believe that you were a company of environmental integrity. I am an active member of Greenpeace, sierra club, PETA, Stella of Omaha organization for natural awareness, just to name a few. IN my town,my fellow city occupants have banned your products as your message is crystal clear; you do not give an iota of thought to the health of the world around us. Unless this includes slapping a label marked "green" or "eco friendly" on a paint can aka TOXIC poisoning. Your charade is up. I will starting a nation wide campaign unless you change your logo OR pull your eco line.

Regards,

Joam J. Jeremy.

--------------------

Hi Joam,

Thank you for contacting the Sherwin-Williams website.

And thank you for your e-mail regarding our "Cover the Earth" logo and its
potential for conveying an environmentally insensitive image. We hope that by providing some background on the development of the logo and on our current commitment to environmentally friendly initiatives you will see that we are committed to environmental responsibility.

The design first appeared in 1893 when we wanted to illustrate how
Sherwin-Williams quality paint could become large enough to make an impact on the entire world. The design has been utilized from that time on. It 1895 it was officially adopted as the Sherwin-Williams trademark. In 1906, the design and its wording were registered with the United Sates Patent Office. In the 1930's it was honored as being one of the ten most recognized trademarks in the world and it continues to have high worldwide recognition today. 140 years later, Sherwin-Williams continues to strive to provide beautiful and durable coatings that help people around the world maintain their buildings with our products.

Understanding your concern for the environment, I'd like to inform you of some of the initiatives our company is involved with in this area. For some time now we have been devoting significant resources to develop environmentally friendly coatings which exhibit excellent product attributes while reducing the potential for air emissions.
Our Harmony, Duration Home, and ProGreen products all carry the GreenSure logo.

Since the 1970's we have increased our activity to reduce all solid and
liquid emissions from our plants and facilities. We utilize a distribution network to maximize our efficiency in transporting goods to our stores. We also conduct extensive environmental audits to identify any potential issues when we acquire other companies. We have an environmental services department that actively identifies and corrects any environmental problems the company may find.

We believe our proactive actions and our track record will indicate that we are concerned about the environment and that we responsibly back this concern with our assets and our people. We appreciate your concern and thank you for taking the time to review our history and current practices.

Thanks again for writing to us.

Regards,
Eric

Old Folks Home---Nebraska

Hi,

I am unfortunately contacting you due to my ailing mother in law. She has been chronically ill for the past 5 years. She has refused surgeries, experimental drug treatments etc. She chalks it up to not wanting to experience more pain or be a "guinea pig". My family; my wife and 6 kids have grown very unfond of her. She is literally driving us all crazy and we think that it might be time to move her into your facility. We currently live in New York City but as she has always had her heart set on Nebraska for "retirement" . Our only concern is that her personality is quite unpleasant (really really unpleasant!). Our fear is that the staff might not want to deal with her...as in ignore her. We would of course completely understand but we are looking for a place where she will receive first class treatment. Anyhow, I'd very much love to hear back from you and figure out how to go from there.

Best,

Joam

JetBlue

Dear Jet Blue,

I recently was on a NYC subway car and was exposed to your ad campaign "Jetblue and you sitting in a tree". I was highly offended. I am apart of an ultra orthodox faith and believe that your first kiss should be on one's wedding day. I had to hide my children's eyes, field their questions ("papa what does that mean") and my wife felt visually raped. We all know what happens when you are in the tree; k-i-s-s-i-n-g. Shame on you.

Nebraska TV Station

Dear Patrick,

My name is Joam and I live nearby. I was very upset over the "part time jobs for the holidays filled" story. I was hoping very much to get one of those jobs. See I've got alot of animals, mostly strays and a sick wife to take care of. Folks around here need something to hold on to, even if it's just waiting for the phone to ring for a job opportunity.

Sincerely

Round Table Pizza

Dear Round Table Pizza

I was wondering if you could tell me what the maximum amount of pizza making materials each Round Table kitchen is equipped with. In other words, how many maximum pizzas can the average RT franchise make before running out of materials? I am opening a pizza shop called "Square Couch Pizza" and am wondering how many supplies a high volume chain has on hand.

Thanks,

Joam

PS. I love love love love love your ranch dipping sauce

-----ROUND TABLE's RESPONSE--------

Hi Jeremy,

Most of our processes are trade secrets, but in general, I can tell you that there isn't a single formula. You've got to anticipate your demand, consider product shelf life, etc. Maybe your suppliers can give you more help. That's about all I can say...

Best of luck to you.

BURGER KING

Hi Burger King Media execs.

My name is Joam and I am an actor and filmmaker. I would like to chronicle my adventures eating in Burger King's across the United States. I would start my journey in New York City and hopefully end my journey in Los Angeles. My primary focus is to document the joy your institution brings to the young road tripper. I have a great love for BK and just wish to spread it (as well as stomp out the evil empire of Mcdonalds). I was hoping that you would sponser this endeavor or at least provide me with an official BK mascot King costume. I feel that wearing the costume would add a very comedic element to it as well as even more media exposure.

Please let me know your thoughts,

Joam

Bodum French Press

Hi Bodum,

I recently bought a Bodum 8 cup french press. I often make myself a cup of coffee while eating what I have deemed my "european breakfast". I have a problem however, I cannot have children. I have tried and the doctor has said that it is simply not possible. This troubles my partner and I immensely so much so that everyday things have become much harder. This includes, driving past schools, children birthday parties and making myself a cup of french press coffee as it involves me thrusting that long rod towards the liquid. Do you have any french presses that do not have the long rod? I don't want to co call phallic but it does represent my husband's inadequacies. I very much wish to continue having Bodum products in my home. Please help.

Respectfully,

Joam

Party Planning

Hi Party Planner,

I would like to plan a party and have been having a little trouble finding an event staff to help me. I would like to have a "Jesus' Birthday Party" celebration near the end of December. Some of my ideas are;
1. biblical food
2. live nativity scene
3. gifts for Jesus
4. Christian dj
5. an only christian waitstaff.
6. no Christmas trees or anything that reflects pagan values.
7. games for children with christian themes
8. Christian celebrity appearance. I would say somebody like Kristin Chenowith, only she played into satan's game by playing a witch on broadway, so somebody like her but with a clean performance history.

I know this is a lot, but it is indeed a special event and it's new york city, so we should be able to pull it off. Please email me back your interest and ideas.

Thanks,

Joam

---------------------------------------
Hi Joam,

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate your event.

Best of luck.

Cheers,
Liron

JOAM's RESPONSE

Dear Liron,

I am very upset that you cannot accommodate my event. Do you have any suggestions as to event planners that can help me organize my Birthday Party to Jesus?

Best,

Joam

-------I CONTACTED ANOTHER PARTY PLANNER IN THE SOUTH, HERE IS THEIR RESPONSE-------

Good Morning, Joam.

Yes, indeed, a special event. We would love to work with you, but our Christmas decorations are out the entire month of December. I am afraid that will not meet your requirements. Please keep us in mind for other event options.
